Bob

Since it is the anniversary of Robert Kennedy's death there has been TV coverage of many of his speeches and visits to the less affluent parts of our country. He happened to be my favorite Kennedy and he was my inspiration at the time he was shot.

To me he symbolized a man who was not an elitist but one who had the ability to identify with other human beings in a
empathetic way and think that this Country could do more to serve every American.

Even his daughter who was only about 5 when he died said he cried one time telling his children that he had come from
a part of our country where three families lived in a room no larger than their kitchen. She still remembers that. He said this was wrong.

I think that in some way Obama is an inspiration to those
persons who are feel disenfranchised. He has HEART.. I know that big business, persons biased against blacks, those right wing persons who do not think he represents THEIR interests will be against him and he will not receive their votes. However, time will bear out whether he can live up to the expectations of those who still want the best for America. For all the people and not just a privileged few.
