RE: Diamond Mercedes - Thanks for thinking of me. I got to where I am (which isn't that big a deal BTW) by scrimping and investing. I have NEVER had a car younger than 10 years old. I have NEVER paid anything other than cash for a car.

Besides, I think it prudent to cultivate the impoverished look and especially manner. I have to confess that I feel some small glee driving to the gas station and seeing $5 diesel. (Actually I am chagrined, but then I think about my oily holdings.) In just a few more months, if you go into a gas station and do cartwhee4ls over the high prices you will get stabbed. And acting outraged takes a lot of work and practice.

So no. I won't be driving the diamond crusted Mercedes into the station and barking...fill 'er up and check the oil. Perhaps I will drive the current 13 year old diesel in and plead...I would gladly pay you Tuesday for a half gallon today. ;-)

Cast your eyes on my next post.
