Fetch it into where, the slower L3 cache ? You are confused or more likely just spewing random BS. The L1 cache is slower too you know and that's as serious. Penryn will be better in cache all the way up to 6MB, after that the higher bandwidth and lower latency of Nehalem will reel it in.
