GULF PRODUCTION MONITOR: June 5, 2008 Independence Hub production climbed to 251 MMcf/d in yesterday's I2 cycle and are flat today at 250 MMcf/d. Hub production totaled 159 MMcf/d on Tuesday and 30 MMcf/d on Monday. However, Transco receipts have tumbled because of gas quality concerns over receipts from Garden Banks and Manta Ray. Transco receipts offshore LA are off 160 MMcf/d in the last week. Transco receipts also are down onshore Texas by about 102 MMcf/d today compared to yesterday. Gulfstream receipts are down 151 MMcf/d this wk.
US POWER - GAS BURN REPORT: June 5, 2008 US power burn increased 120 MMcf today, landing at 23.1 Bcf in total.The Gulf decreased again today, down 479 MMcf compared to yesterday. Meanwhile the Midwest, Northeast and Southeast regions continue to increase.Power Burn is forecasted to climb above 27 Bcf by next Tuesday, which is high for June.Burn for the week ending 6/5 is estimated as 142 Bcf, 38 Bcf more than the week ending 5/29. bentekenergy.com
