Al Qaeda has been weakened greatly in Iraq Tim, Al Qaeda was a non factor in Iraq till the US went in. My original comment was more to do with the stature of Bin Laden in the muslim world, which is undeniable...I don't know of any accurate/reliable polls but I am fairly certain he's revered by an overwhelming majority of the muslims more so in the aftermath of the Iraq war. This in combination with the highest unfavorability rating for the US in the muslim world was the reason for my comment.
