Another tool is CRB index, gold price, etc. Nothing is
perfect. The economy is global, so ...

The primary cause of global inflation is monetization of
US current account deficit by foreign central banks.

US is not the only country where money supply growth is
going ballistic. The primary cause of ballistic broad
money supply growth in the US and Western Europe, for now, has
been the credit bubble. So, it's "crack up boom" caused
by negative real interest rates. I don't see a whole lot
of printing in the US, yet. 7.5 billion a year, all of
that printed in the last 3 weeks. Still, derivative bubble
and credit boom, despite the collapse of the housing bubble.
