Attached is a copy of the News Release of October 15th, 1997:

NEWS RELEASE - ZIMBABWE PROJECT FINANCING COMPLETED

NAR RESOURCES LTD. ("the Company") is pleased to announce the completion of the financing arrangement for its Zimbabwe Projects. The financing was done through private placements by arm-length investors. The Company has filed all necessary documentation with the appropriate regulatory bodies for final approval.

The Company is now in the process of discussing the details and immediate implementation of the work program with its co-venturer, Falconbridge Exploration Zimbabwe (FEZ) which was disclosed in the News Release of September 16th, 1997.

The work program is primarily geared to conduct an integrated multidisciplinary search for giant polymetallic VMS type deposits in twelve promising districts earlier identified by FEZ in the Zimbabwe greenstone belts.

These districts were found to have lithogeochemical characteristics and mineralogical alteration assemblages similar to VMS felsic volcanic horizons in the Superior province of the Canadian Shield. These characteristics include the rare earth (REE) and high field strength element (HFSE) chemistry of rhyolites indicating Type II and III felsics (Lesher et al's classification) which are closely identified with the Noranda, Texas Gulf/Kidd Creek, Mattagami and Kamiskotia deposits. Favourable alteration indices (Hashimoto index of 90 and ALUM index 400) with correlative depletion of sodium (1.00%) were also established.

One of the districts was already zeroed-in by FEZ with surface geological mapping, geochemical, geophysical surveys and exploratory drilling. Known as the Maramba project, FEZ has established geochemical and geophysical trend anomalies associated with sulfide mineralization having a strike length of at least 4.6 km and still open in both east-west directions in the Zveya Creek VMS showing. Nine exploratory holes were completed to test one of the anomaly trends (trend B). Eight holes intersected base metal sulfide mineralization in various quantities. The best intercept assayed 2.49% Cu; 0.70% Zn and 52.5 grams per metric tonne (g/t) Ag over 3.05 metres (m) core length(MAR-97-3). Borehole EM survey detected off-hole conductors in two of seven holes tested. Applied potential (mise a la masse) survey of one hole (MAR-97-8) indicates continuity of a sulfide zone (1.29% Cu; 5.0% Zn; 0.07% Pb; 15.8 g/t Ag over 0.45 m) for at least 300m and open to the east. The VMS target in Maramba is also known to contain gold rich sections (23.7 g/t over 0.24 m and 4.5 g/t over 1.0 m in hole MAR-97-8). Within the property limits of the 60 thousand hectare Maramba project, are gold occurrences separate from the VMS target. The Good Gold showing was already traced by FEZ to 960 m long and 25-45 m wide. Sampling by FEZ of trenches and artisanal workings returned assays of 31.1 g/t Au over 1 m and 4.4 g/t Au over 26 m.

The NAR-FEZ work program will not be blind to deposits other than VMS type. If any of the identified districts is found to contain potential economic deposits of gold, nickel or other metals, these will be considered and pursued.
