Be careful. Some people, like TP, have declared that you can't be considered to be a human being until you are self aware. He considers the first breath an arbitrary designation that just happens to work for legal purposes. Some people are attracted to the idea of extending abortion to unwanted children, or lumps of flesh, or parasites, or what ever the excuse is who are breathing.

1.2 could eliminate the human species, and I've met people who would vote for elimination.
