I just think America would be better served by having as many domestic companies developing CPU's as possible. Intel is an oppressive force against that. This isn't to say that Intel doesn't do great work, they do.

If we are to advance computing, we need as many different approaches to be tried as possible. Remember, the present computer industry was founded by a bunch of college dropouts that couldn't get the corporations they worked for to take a chance.

IBM originally thought the world would never NEED more than 400 computers!

I want a computer that I can wear, use whenever and wherever I am, and be continuously connected to the internet. In the supermarket, I want my computer to scan the barcode of an item, and tell me what the price is at all the places I can buy it withing 5 miles and the internet. On the road, I want it to be a GPS and constantly apprise me of traffic and weather conditions. When I meet a person or am offered a proposition, I want a report on the person and/or proposition instantly. And so on..
