Id rather think about shorting japanese automakers. With gas prices skyrocketing automakers have a hard time to sell their gear unless they come up with serious alternative energy solutions. In Europe the relative price change in gas is less severe thanks to the huge tax burden but consumers feel the strain nevertheless.

Weaker carmakers who do not have the resources to develop new models might see the loose end.
