We are in the process of creating a light rail system here on Oahu. Will go from the west side of town to downtown, at a cost of billions. Systems like this have empty stations in LA where it's worth your life to walk onto the platform where the muggers wait for you. Staffed by Teamsters who can hardly wait for the next strike so that they can take a month off and then get another outrageous salary increase.

What do we need? A doubled decked freeway with low-rise downtown parking. But Nooooooooo!
