Yeah... the media actually has two candidates they seem to like. When was the last time that happened?

1964, I think. The media did like Johnson before '65. They also liked Goldwater -- the NY Times even had him as a triweekly columnist that year. '68 was probably the first time since '52 that they liked Nixon (he was the comeback kid). They definitely didn't like him in '72. They liked Carter in '76. I don't know who they liked in '80. Reagan in '84, Bush Sr. in '88, Clinton in '92, Perot in '96, Bush Jr. in '00, Bush Sr. in '04...

But now both Obama and McCain are media heroes. I wonder how that'll turn out?
