'I'm not worried about the US dollar, its value vis-a-vis other currencies is a residual, meaning better to think about domestic concerns such as employment, productivity, and capital expenditure' Well that has been as big a story as the credit/housing meltdown the past year.. How much are oil prices and food prices up in a year? Was this all part of the grand plan to inflate our way out of this mess and protect the bankers from serious collateral damage? Of course it all blew up in smoke and some of our worst fears on the Credit Bubble Board are coming true much to the dismay of the deflationist crowd lead by Mish who are even bigger fools than the speculators buying up preconstruction properties at the top in the hot bubble markets<g>
