Atmel still has a virtual monopoly on low voltage flash memory. This week they announced products that even give them a bigger lead. Their product is on allocation which means it is booked up. Having owned Compaq during the period that they gave records results but their stock went up and down it is easy to see the same thing in Atmel. The market will not give them the stock price til after the EPS come in. It may be a wait and see on the $2 per share they are suppose to earn. This isn't known til 3rd week of January 97.
