The whole energy crisis is so blown out of context as some times I wonder what the real intent is and who is actually manipulating the energy markets!!!!

As a primer the sun is radiating the earth at around 1.39 KW per square meter, organic matter efficiency is in the range of 3% to 5.5% (common solar cells are presently around 8 to 10%)

Keep in mind ethanol is energy negative or neutral at best - so no hope there - but microbial processes are slower and highly effective as nature always was

As the so called lack of energy I wonder why there is not an official drive of building Anaerobic Digester which can turn organic waste into energy and natural fertilizer.

Some info may help those complaining of high energy prices

As an example one cow generates over 19 ton of manure over a year - plenty of energy - or about 21,000 cubic feet biogas of which 65% is CH4 or methane which is natural gas!! which energy content is over 12,000 BTU

On average the generation of 1KWH (3,412 BTU) generates 1 Kg of CO2 which is great food for crops grasses and trees

Composition of Biogas 65% CH4 (Methane) and 35% CO2

Dairy manure generates 1,100 ft3 biogas per ton, or 39 m3 (18.2 Kg CH4 and 77 Kg CO2)
Swine manure generates 1,584 ft3 biogas per ton, (144%)
Poultry manure generates 2,200 ft3 per ton, (200%)
Grasses and food waste generates 4,000 and 8,000 ft3 biogas per ton

Now calculate how much garbage and refuse is generated per capita v. how much energy can be extracted v. how much we consume

Other infor;

Gasoline carbon content per gallon: 2,421 grams
Diesel carbon content per gallon: 2,778 grams
