Besides the fact he is brilliant Lots of people are brilliant. he has gone from a community organizer to an US senator..in what? Ten years? A definite indication of his brilliance. Oh, bullshit. Carole Mosely Braun did it, too. Was SHE brilliant? ROTFLAMO. You are so gullible. In fact, he has become a presidential nominee in half the time it took McCain. He's a great public speaker. That's it. He can't write his own material. He can't make it up on the fly. But he can read it from a 'prompter in excellent form. Shepard Smith is great at it, too. At a time when people running for president need to be well off.......he comes from a poor family.....and yet has been able to raise more than any other candidate running for office. Again, this qualifies the man to hold the highest office in the land? A great speaker raises lots of money. No surprise there. He has upended one of the strongest dynasties in Dem history. Right. Clinton. Impeached. Need I say more? He's written two books that were very well received well before he became a household name and made him millions. Great public speaker, big following, sure his books sell. But what has he DONE to qualify him for the office? He has captured the imagination of a nation and the world that very badly needs some evidence that there is still hope. Great public speaker. (You starting to get the idea? That's all he has). Capture the imagination? Only of young, gullible individuals who have never bought a used car. He is an extraordinary orator Agreed. and a strong mediator between the issues and the people they represent. Could you please provide some support for this claims? What has he ever mediated? Looks to me he might have met his match with the Jews and Palestinians -- pissed them BOTH off in two days. He is the child of a black father and a white mother and has integrated the qualities of both very successfully. He is a quick study, successful and insightful. Please. And most importantly, he is the best my America has to offer in healing the wounds inflicted by Bush and his cohort upon an unsuspecting nation. In fact, its probably the only chance we have of digging out of the hole you helped create. Okay, I get it. You'd kiss his ass on Main Street if he'd let you. But what has he actually done?
