Is Seattle as good at ethnically cleansing their black population as San Francisco and Los Angeles are? Both cities have chopped their black percentage of the population in two over the last generation.

You're talking about three very different cities although Seattle and SFO are more similar to each other than LA. LA is a very diverse city......probably the most diverse in the country. What you have in LA is black flight......to the suburbs and back to the South. Blacks in CA don't like Latinos and the influx of Latinos into S. CA has been huge.

In SFO, blacks have been pushed out for economic reasons. Too many people want to live in SF and there are only so many places in which to live. Plus, new construction is restricted. Blacks can't afford to live in SF. A similar process is starting to happen in Seattle but its a bit different. Some blacks are getting pushed out but many are simply tightening their belts and buying like their white counterparts. The gentrification of SF took place 20-30 years ago.....blacks have come a long way, income wise, since that time. Plus, the gentrification process is moving much slower in Seattle because the climate isn't nearly as nice as SF's. Nonetheless, poor people of all colors are getting pushed out of the city.
