>> Soleimani is confident about Iran's rising power in the region

Everyone keeps talking about how "powerful" Iran is becoming. How Bush's Iraq war has given Iran all this "power".

I want to know exactly what that "power" stems from. Because I still see the same old Iran, with a terrorist leader, sabre-rattling. Where's the substance?

Ahmedenijad has no more popular support for a war with us (or Israel) than Bush does. Ultimately, he is going to end up forcing Israel to shut him up. So, then what?

I think we're talking about some brand of "rhetorical power". But this will carry Iran a very short distance if Israel (or Bush) decides enough is enough.

The real power rests with the United States and it continues to be an order of magnitude beyond anyone else's. The only problem is our political system detracts mightily from the real power that is possessed by the nation.
