What was said, as reported by the ones who were actually there was that he wanted to go see his buddies and maybe have a beer. "Your link (which I previously read and discounted as lacking credibility) was a letter, ostensibly written by someone who wasn't there, who took issue with the man who was injured. I'm sorry, but such a link is not authoritative and lacks credibility." There are other sources. Because you want to disbelieve, you spin as hard as you can to discount them.
