Leaving politics aside, cuz I'm willing to blame everybody from Raygun on, given the fact that we knew oil would peak some day, and we've known we had to act on global warming for 20 years, ...no, I can't do that. The inaction by this administration is criminal. They know, they have known since before taking office, and they not only provided no leadership, but actually hindered most proposals...
But, I digress... I've known about PO since '72, started really getting into it in Nov '04, when the sustainable movement began in Willits. I've tried to prepare mice elf (as have my sons), doing things like buying PV then, instead of after I retired. However I am dismayed by how fast things seem to be going right now, and I think that is the general feeling among the Oil Drummers. Intellectualizing and watching sci-fi doomer flicks is one thing, but when we see how fast things are going, it alarms us. We're now in for 20 or so very tough years. |
