June was great last year, july too, my collection hit a nice interim top on the last trading day of july ... then came the credit crunch in the first two weeks of august, aargh, be nice to play that one over again ... but it didn't seem to be about summertime, or selling in may, or any of the traditional stuff ... from the middle of august going into oct/nov the ramp was healthy, near full recovery from end of july status, if memory serves
Likely it'll be more of a stockpicker's market, can't depend on tides that float all boats, but then that's the state of things most of the time
Silver - had another highly interesting conversation about silver on the weekend ... crafty cynical old fellow, i've done a bit of business with him in the past, and he's always scheming up something, usually right in the end on his judgments, anyway he doesn't think much of Messrs Butler and Hommel, for differing reasons between the two, but figures they make valid points, and get the core stuff right, he stands by 30-dollar silver by the end of this decade, and quite likely by this Christmas |
