Government is exceptionally competent at 95% of what they do... Have you ever dealt with government? I've had extensive dealings with Medicare and Medicaid services, IRS, SSA, and DOJ. Everyone knows what a mess military procurement is. Dept. of Education has been an absolute train wreck since its inception. I can tell you that NOT ONE of these organizations, which represent the majority of government, functions with efficiency or competence. I think you're talking out your ass, because anyone who has ever made their living in dealing with government knows just how stupid your remark is. No, but I know first hand the abuses. Not only did my family have >5000 acres taken for a recreational lake but my wife used to practice eminent domain law. Sure, there have been a few abuses. But they're pretty rare, and can generally be fixed in courts. Your wife should know this.
