It sure helps that our government always reacts the complete opposite of the Hoover adminisrtation in a time of panic and that whenever we have a misallocaiton of capital and subsequent bust it is never across the board in all industries.

As I'm sure you know, had we not concentrated the secondary mortgage market through the GSE's there would not have been much of a secondary ripple from the housing meltdown. For the FED to step in to provide liquidity during the MBS crisis falls under the general theme of government taking action to "fix" its own errors.

Next bubble is probably in alternative energy.

No doubt. That bubble started about 2000/2001, if a bunch of 50+ year old solar cells guys suddenly finding themselves in demand is any indication.
