My timing was off, but I've had an MDL meter since January 2000.
They installed it when I had NG brought to the house. My power company offered off peak rates until January of 2003, and for the heck of it, I just called them and asked why they still don't offer it. I got an increased demand, inflation goobeldy gook type answer.
