I can attest to Commander's trading acumen. I was there in those days and remember it well. He was able to stop the life of global travelling salesman and retire to Florida when most people are still building their careers. My own record then was good but not excellent like CCs. My greed got in the way to cap my gains--which were pretty good but I'm still working. I bought GW at 90 cents, FLC, PTEN,PKD NBR,NOV,CHK,EOG etc for practically nothing.Unfortunately, I also bought UFAB,TMS etc. And, of course, my infamous PGO buy (remembered by old timers here)--which has gone down in history as my greatest financial error and haunts me to this day.
