To All: Folks; here's a fortune web-site article on the "state of the nation" as it relates to battery technology. Very informative. pathfinder.com@@es96pQUAPCOAPVjF/fortune/1997/971027/imt.html Geep; I believe prior posters have stated that ULBI's assembly line is from the same manufacturer that VLNC is using for line 1. I believe it has also been stated that ULBI is having similar rampup difficulties. The beauty of it, if the poster is accurate, is that VLNC may have overcome the lines problems, and they've signed "non-disclosures" with the manufacturer to prevent others from using the fixes. How true this is is unknown, since it was posted on the VLNC thread, so take it for what it's worth. Meanwhile, I have to say it's great to see the "chatter" come alive here. Regards! John~
