Danny Ortega takeover of Nicaragua, leading to a brutal war in Central America.... the Helsinki Accord, which de facto recognized Soviet annexations in Eastern Europe (and possibly helped free them to meddle in Africa and elsewhere, and to invade Afghanistan). Jimmy's main foreign policy guru was Zbigniew Brzezinski, who - believe it or not - survived as a respected authority, and is currently one of Obama's mentors.
