I think things will improve within a few years after Obama takes office and stops the war.

That war will wind down no matter who takes the White House.

There are three issues that won't get better any time soon.

Energy: We need more real energy, not windmills and fantasies, and we need it yesterday. McCain is almost as clueless as Obambi and the Dems on this. If you think that 4 dollar gas is bad, just wait and see how hard we get bitch slapped in the near future. And watching the babbling monkeys in Congress yapping on about how "windfall taxes" on "evil big oil" will fix the problem is enough to make a sane person barf.

The declining dollar and inflation: The only way to strengthen the dollar would be if the Fed raised rates high enough to smack us into a hard deep recession (or worse). That won't happen (raising rates significantly) for political reasons. Obambi wants to punish business through higher taxes and regulation. Goodbye more jobs and economic growth. Won't solve the deficit that way..

Entitlements: Neither party wants to face the fact that SS and Medicare are going to train wreck what's left of the economy in a few years. Kids growing up and entering the work force today are f*cked. I feel sorry for them and am glad I'm not one of them. The looming pile of unfunded debt is almost unimaginable. 10's of trillions are not just words.

There will be a rumble in the jungle. Just wait and see. And neither Obambi and his "change" mantra or McClueless McCain have sense enough to deal with the reality. Stupid pandering politicians...
