There is an article in this morning's paper that said a resident called police about 8:30 that evening and reported a stump on the tracks. Police found it and rolled it off and down an embankment. But, it was put back on the tracks later and about 10:30 the train hit it, derailing 4 engines and a couple dozen cars loaded with lumber and grain. The railroad has posted a $10,000 reward for information. It's a real mess and will take days to get it cleaned up. Fortunately, there was nothing hazardous involved. There was a relatively small diesel spill, but even that was quickly contained.
