Good article, not particularly encouraging though. The author mentions an oil and food price spike. Given the inventory levels of grains (record lows) and the weather in the Midwest (bad), I think we could see sustained upward pressure on food prices for some time to come. There is a reasonable chance for a supply-side response in food, but that will take some time to occur. I don't know exactly what will be the catalyst for gold, but when the technicals are in alignment, some fundamental always seems to show up at just the right moment. Coxe is saying it is a decisive break of 70 on the $BKX. Not sure how much is decisive, but that is one sick looking chart. We're below 70 now, but that is a recent development, we'll have to see where it goes from here. Given the situation described in the article regarding ratings downgrades, it seems the potential is there for it to get considerably fuglier.

Agreed on coal/ng. I have no coal at the moment, I got in way too early on that bandwagon and then back off again quite a while ago. Natgas - I continue to hold Dejour which is transitioning to producer status. I expect to get significantly more near-term upside from my other one, ESA (the warrants). jrhana has written extensively about that one and after a looooooong wait, things are now coming together for them and I think it's worth a serious look.

I have concluded that one way for the uraniums to light their own fire is to acquire potash properties <g>. UUL.v did so and it is having a remarkably salutory effect on their shares! Cripes, the lengths ya gotta go to sometimes...
