Mercy for Man Found in Porta Potty Tank Wednesday, October 26, 2005 \| 8:36 AM NORTH CONWAY, NH-October 26, 2005 -- A New Hampshire judge has shown mercy to a man arrested for peeping at a teen-age girl from underneath a rest-stop outhouse. The 45-year-old from Maine was arrested in June after the girl reported seeing a face looking up at her from a pit toilet at a U.S. Forest Service site. Gary Moody was given a 30-day term, which will be suspended after two years' good behavior. As she imposed the sentence, the judge cited Moody's public humiliation resulting from the case. The judge also fined him one-thousand dollars and urged him to seek help for whatever made him climb into the waste-filled toilet. He'll also have to pay 700 dollars in restitution. Moody had told authorities he went into the outhouse to retrieve a fallen wedding ring. The Forest Service cleaned out the waste, but found no ring. abclocal.go.com
