Re: Drilling in ANWR.

Thanks and a tip of the hat to MM on PfP for the following.

Perspective:

Size of a postage stamp = 1 square inch
Square Inches in a square foot = 144

size of a one quarter acre house lot = 1,568,160 sq inches.

ratio of 10 postage stamps to house lot = 10/1,568,160 = 0.00001

Size of ANWR = 19,000,000 acres

Ratio of drilling footprint to ANWR 2,000/19,000,000 = 0.00001

Question: Would a fastidious homeowner believe that his yard was trashed if there was a bare spot the size of ten postage stamps off in the corner?
