The Dems had to lose three elections badly before they "got it" though they had their Congressional majority to keep the illusion of power. If Obama wins with more than 300 electoral votes, 55-56 Democratic senators and gains in the House, the wave inside the Beltway will be very clear. The question is whether Romney and Huckabee are the people to lead a revival, or new personalities have to come to the fore somehow.
