I'm SURE it's your part of the country. You know you live in very liberal territory. :) People here aren't terribly thrilled with McCain, but most conservatives will stick with him. ON another note, I just read the most furious blog about the SC decision This was a naked, arrogant power grab of wartime, war-fighting power by the liberal wing of the Supreme Court. This is Anthony Kennedy, John Paul Stevens, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, and David Souter doing their dead-level best — not to protect you and me from the terrorists, but to protect them! Since I can't imagine why half the SC would be protecting terrorists, I wind up thinking what they are really doing is protecting us from a president who refused to accept their last ruling, defied them by changing the laws, and now they are all lined up for the old pissing contest. I do think it's about power, but couching it as the executive branch being the noble protector and the SC as being an arm of Al Queda is just too reminiscent of the with us or against us mantra.
