greg, their missed earnings due to production ramp was the key to not hitting $.25. from my conversations, the street wasn't expecting much from IOM, which is better than expecting too much.

they increased revenue nearly 9% over the second quarter (the third quarter being the traditionally slowest quarter of the year for all computer peripherals) and gross margins also increased which is indicative of disk sales adding more to IOM's bottom line. as they move into the 4th quarter, the gross margin will increase again, most likely. the slower sales in Asia from the 2nd quarter isn't a surprise as all box makers have experienced slower sales primarily in Japan. however, China is becoming a much greater significant factor in IOM sales to Asia, so the rampup in China for all box makers will begin to affect all box makers bottom lines going into the 4th quarter. there are some positives here. i was looking for $.22 to $.23 personally
