I've had this Gibson dreadnaught (J-64?) since the 60s. My father bought it in 1964 for 180 bucks with a nice hardshell case, now it's worth close to 2 grand. At some point I'm thinking about getting it reworked but I'm also starting to look for a new guitar.

Lately I've been working on a piece of music that requires a cutaway to play it properly. The piece I'm working on is called Flashes an it's off the Ry Cooder "Jazz" album. It's an extremely difficult solo, Cooder actually had to splice together several recordings in order to get the finished version..... It's one of the most beautiful acoustic works I've ever heard..... Now the good part, I found a transcription on the internet in a PDF form. It has tab and standard notation and the site also has the original version of Flashes that you can listen to, so check it out and tell me what you think!!!!
