I think you mean J-45, but there could be many models I do not know about.

Now I'm positive about the year too since mine has the adjustable bridge, available in 1964.

The old Gibsons can sound fantastic, but they are very limited for modern fingerstyle. I needed a cutaway and I needed solid intonation all the way to the 15 fret.

I couldn't agree more. I'm learning more and more pieces where I'm playing at least to the 12th fret sometimes up to the 16th. At that point you've pretty much lost all the sonority....
