CHEER UP....Article on PII slot 1,slot 2 product line. www5.zdnet.com Socket 7 has at least another year at the 66 Mhz level maybe more.It also seems that slot 1 really just includes an internal bus to make L2 cache access faster it really does not seem like such a big advance like the 486 to pentium was.Maybe this is Intel's version of IBM's microchannel architecture.Which of course was designed to shut out the clones like compaq and dell with a proprietary advanced bus and of course failed.
