Bill, I came up with the $400 dollars as a split between the day of install cost of $200, based on a tech being at the house for 4 hours at $50 per hour, and follow up support for trouble shooting and question answering of another $200.

I take it from the other parts of your post that both modems will only cost $500-600 instead of $500 a piece. Hard to tell if those numbers are for the whole job, ie installation on both ends, CO and customer site or just the raw cost of acquiring the hardware.

Just knowing what techs get paid to install this stuff it is hard to believe that it is the whole job cost.
