Sam,

The test to those who are Global Warming alarmists is the quality of the solutions offered. An economic train wreck is not a solution. The world has huge problems and limited resources. To prioritize GW in the current spectrum of events is in my mind plain foolish.

The last fad was ethanol. We are now well aware of the negative impacts of that one. And please note - it was an all politician pander to the farm vote and the Iowa primary. Shame on all of them.

If some politician were to offer a comprehensive energy plan that provided solutions and not a train wreck - that person could gain the support of many of us who are negative on the issue. Ultimately any reduction of "green house gases" is an energy problem. The two have to be solved together.

To my mind not a single politician - left or right - has honestly stepped up to this issue. Democrats are simply pandering to their extremist base elements and Republicans are lost seeking the middle where they think they will find love.

If GW is happening - it is simply going to happen. If you are right the answer will be available in the next 5 - 7 years. I suspect the mantra then will be the next 5 - 7 years.

Bob
