Well, I have some hope that Obama will appoint Gore as a sort of czar for environmental issues (pick a label), and let him work on public education, and on policy proposals that address the issues, will pass congress, and fit with a global strategy.

And run a marathon before breakfast. ;-) Yep, I know.

I'm with Sam on this one. Everything I read says the train wreck, to stay with one of your metaphors, is on the way. Gotta start a massive program to reduce the consequences.
