Iomega has indeed pulled in some impressive numbers. Even though the earnings of .22› was lower than some here would have liked, it still managed to hit within the upper range of professional estimates. However, this current market is generally not rewarding simply good numbers.

With a stock that is scrutinized as intensely as IOM, analysts may point out using the CC numbers the fact that Ditto tape products are significantly decling in sales, that Zip/Jaz sales increases of 51% over the past year are insufficient to establish Zip as the next standard before it's product life expires, and competition is finally getting on the ball (Syquest, Sony, that new 144MB thingy that reads floppies, etc.), and Iomega may only have a couple of quarters left before it starts to show. These are all legitimate concerns that hang over Iomega like Dr. Kervorkian in a cheap suit.
