I didn't say oil companies set prices. I just said that they are quite happy with things as they are. Though I'll bet that isn't quite true. I'm sure they'd like to be making even more money if possible.

BTW, I must have missed the charts. But in any case, the oil companies have a bit of a problem, since if they do increase supply that could bring prices down, so that fields that might have been profitable would become unprofitable. If that were to happen, though, they could always just stop producing from those places until prices came back up again at some point in the future.
