the government is harassing all these companies in a grandstanding manner and until all these government lawyers get fired, the stock market isn't going to improve because they have created a perception that there is nothing but fraud in the markets and the stock market is a big scam. The problem is, this is the system that we have for economic growth. If the US government wants to kill entrepreneurs, VCs etc that use the stock market to cash out and start anew, then they need to find some kind of alternative economic engine. Of course most government officials have no idea how to do that- they live off the taxpayer.
