goz.v - of the four, i know Gold-Ore best, hold some long-term, good bit of it in my wife's rrsp too ... top-notch resource in a safe country, little capex needed [if any], solid conservative management, kind of ploddingly slow but i doubt they'll screw up the opportunity ... huge exploration upside, area has been compared to Timmins district ... stock is extremely cheap imho, but not going anywhere for so long you wonder if it'll remember how - i let a few go at avg .77 when ktn was in a major buy opp, early may, now can get them back cheaper, sort of expected that ... at some point it will be noticed, they have serious cash flow coming ... comparable to usa.v in a number of ways really, re-starts of previous operations, low political risk, progress perceived as slow for whatever reasons, neither of them getting respect in the market today

Northgate i've followed a bit too, agree with tyc's points there, he knows it a lot better ... sad about Kemess N, but looks like the economics don't work unless you pump tails into Duncan Lake, indians don't like that and i wouldn't in their place fwiw, so it goes ... maybe a new plan can be thought up, or longer distance pumping become economic in time, who knows, but for now it means nothing to value, they've moved on and appear to have done well at that, ngx will be high on my watch list when the world turns back to PMs

usa.v - good posts from you and vt on this puppy ... availability of skilled labour has been their biggest problem, as i understand it, cost of labour as well but more that they just couldn't get enough experienced guys period, had to do a lot of training and juggling around ... but they've done a fair bit of that now, should be about to reap the rewards, get things back on track

Silver is completely out of fashion for the moment, no telling how long that lasts, but the period will be over sooner or later ... you might consider a little Kootenay? ... it did you well before ... pulling holes now that are quite comparable to those of Canplats, just as large or larger targets too, at half the shareprice and with half the shares out as Canplats, and i don't think cpq will prove to be overvalued here either, they may very well have a new Peñasquito, the thing is the name Promontorio will end up figuring in that list as well, imho, and ktn is in a nicely buyable little pullback here

One thing about taking a loss, is it gives you options in deferring taxable gains, not entirely negative that, depending on how it works out ... i'll be keeping the usa.v, just have to go split wood when i think about what a great idea it seemed at the time to buy in the .70s, lol ... funny how swinging ten pounds of iron at a defenceless dead tree can relieve the frustration, but it works, digging postholes is another, especially when you run into rock, it's like meeting Ms Market face to face, only this time you have the legal right and the opportunity to beat her into dust, at least enough to get the post down anyway, lol ... cheers
