As a voter, I expect reasoned debate that allows us to hear the positions of each Presidential candidate without interruption by members of the audience.

10 Town Hall appearances is fair for a campaign from Sept. 1st til Nov. election considering the number of issues to be discussed.

The general issues to be covered during a debate should be known ahead of time to allow each candidate to prepare his position.

All debates should be aired during prime time television nationwide for all Americans to view and hear both on cable and non-cable as well as on radio and satellite radio.

Conditions that should apply:

1. No teleprompter notes allowed for either candidate.

2. Candidates provided with a blank pad of paper and pen for taking notes during the debate

3. Set rules for order of response: i.e.
a. 1st candidate
b. 2nd candidate
c. 1st candidate allowed rebuttal time
d. Next question to 2nd candidate
e. 1st candidate
f. 2nd candidate rebuttal time

4. Set rules for Candidates opening and closing statements:

Three to five minutes for each

5. Establish rules regarding moderator(s) and regarding audience participation-----there are several formats that may be used.

Both John McCain who is an Annapolis graduate and Barrack Obama, a Harvard graduate, know the rules for debates and decorum.

This is a sketch of a town hall debate-----anyone wishing to add or suggest please do.
