I'm wondering if people outside the disaster area have been planting more land to corn than usual because of the prices. The heart of the corn belt has been hit pretty hard but I bet the periphery will have stupendous bumper crops. Depending on how the weather shapes up from here of course.

And, this is just my experience, things always look worse than they really are on TV.
