Let's see if I can sort through that mess and figure out what your answer is. It seems to be that you approve of Bush I's handling of Saddam's invasion of Kuwait.

But you don't like that US troops were in SA. Even though that was a part of Bush's response to the Kuwait invasion. Could be you just don't know that.

Or could be you feel that when Osama issued his fatwa, the proper thing for America to do was retreat from Saudi Arabia in response, saying 'yes sir, Mr Osama, mercy mercy, have mercy on us, Osama.'

That would of course have invested enormous prestige in Osama in the Muslim world.

I suppose a liberal would think thats good.
