I hope you are wrong on that. I do think you are correct that many Dems feel it is payback time. However, I don't believe Obama is that way. I believe the core of the way he is will drive him towards bi-partisanship and that he'll work with the Dems to put aside their baser instincts for the good of the country. Will he be successful in that? I don't know. Let's wait and see.

And btw, I don't believe for a second that McCain is the most bi-partisan. He has swung so hard right recently, it's sickening. I really liked him in 2000. He was my favorite candidate even after Bush Jr swiftboated him. But this McCain looks nothing like the McCain of 2000. This one is wishy-washy, senile, and a Bush Jr clone on the issues that matter. I wish McCain would go back to his persona of 2000. He'd be a much more powerful candidate if he did. I have no idea why he thinks sidling up to Bush Jr is in his best interests. Nothing could be further from the truth.
