I think the jury is really still out on covering Brazil in sugar cane to produce enough ethanol to support the US... (I have my doubts).

And well you should.. Enough rain forest is being raped already to produce ethanol yielding crops.

It's just CRAZY Swam.. Just crazy!! I'd rather that Bush had ordered the building of 30 pebble bed nukes solely for the purpose of converting water to hydrogen, than to recommend mixing food and fuel. After all, hydrogen can be used in current piston engines just like natural gas. Not the most efficient use of hydrogen, given BTU comparisons, but still better than seeing food prices hiked because sugar and corn, let alone the cost of my favorite libation..

I've long stated that Bush was absolutely crazy to do this and I voted for him in the last election (because I just couldn't vote for Kerry).
